I just got home from my follow-up with the Neurosurgeon and received my first results from the biopsy. They weren't positive, there are aggressive cancer cells present and they consider them Stage 4/4 which would be the most aggressive. That's really all the specifics my Neurosurgeon could give me at the time.
The next step is setting up my appointment with the Oncologist and getting some specific answers. We will be scheduling as soon as possible and hopefully I can start getting more details on the cancer and how we are going to fight it. I'm going to just try to keep my head clear until I get more specifics and continue my life as normal as possible.

Damn. I am so sorry to hear about this. I will keep you in my prayers. Its so cliche but---fight the good fight.
The only thing I can tell you for sure is that no matter how many times you want prayers or need to talk about things, post on this site. We will all be here for you.
I am very sorry to hear you received this news. Having known people close to me that got cancer, I know what an impact the news can have. I stared in silence at my monitor for probably 5 minutes before typing this.
Whatever question pops into your mind between now and the oncologist visit, write it down and ask. Never be afraid to ask questions. Never hesitate to get a second opinion if you want to. Don't hesitate to go with your gut regarding your own treatment provided you run it by the doctors.
I wish I could take the pain and worry away from you, your family, your girlfriend, your friends - but I can't so all I can do is send my best wishes to all.
Prayers sent. My sister flew home from Europe after traveling 10 days with my parents (yes the 2 run over by a truck 2 years ago). She got off the plane, and next morning went to Iowa City and had a tumor removed from her neck. They had to go deeper than they thought and so she has some temporary facial nerve damage.
They think they got it all,and thought it was benign. She got the call yesterday that it was malignant. She lost her husband to cancer before 50 and even though the prognosis should be good, she is in shock.
Keep your spirits up and feel the prayers of those sending them. CYAG
