Actually, he does have a degree from itt. He got his undergrad at Austin College in Sherman, his MA from South Carolina, and his PhD from itt.

Keep in mind that according to my MiL that the reason he went to graduate school at South Carolina and then at itt was because those were the only schools that would admit him. Just like the only reason he got the job at HBU is because he had a close relative who was a founder.
