Aggies shake things up on Monday

Monday was the second two-a-day practice of August camp for Texas A&M and the Aggies practiced twice outdoors. It was the first time A&M head coach Mike Sherman kept his team outdoors for two full practices in August.

It was also a tale of two practices with the offense performing well in the morning and the defense taking over in the afternoon.

"It just seems like this morning that offensively they got the best of the defense and this afternoon the defense got the best of the offense, but I guess that's how it's supposed to be. Somebody's got to win and lose every ball game," Sherman said. "We practiced outside twice today because I wanted to stay in the heat, and this morning was really a beautiful morning. We had cloud cover and it was a little more humid the afternoon so it drained us a little bit. We're going through our preparation and making some progress. We have a scrimmage tomorrow morning and we'll work through that."
