Missouri the latest offer for Wainright

The 2011 basketball class in the state of Missouri has drawn national attention with a number of highly rated prospects. But the Show-Me State has a lot more talent coming down the pipeline. Perhaps the most highly-touted underclassman in the state is 2013 Raytown South wing Ishmael Wainwright.

Wainwright checks in at 6-foot-6, 216 pounds in the first month of his sophomore season. He has been attracting high-major attention since he was an eighth grader playing for Victor Williams and the KC Cowboys. Prior to his freshman year, Wainwright was named the "Top Prospect" at the freshman all-American camp in Lexington, Kentucky. He averaged a double-double at the camp and has seen coaches line up to watch him play over the past year.

Wainwright already holds offers from coast to coast. St. John's and UCLA were the first two to offer, but they have since been joined by Missouri, Baylor, West Virginia, Texas and Virginia Tech.

For now, Wainwright remains wide open in his recruitment. The only sure thing is that he will have plenty of options.
