Wiggins grabbing early attention
It's not often that high school basketball players are garnering as much attention during their freshman and sophomore seasons as their older teammates.
But in the early stages of the 2011 travel circuit this is quickly becoming a theme, and class of 2014 Canadian prospect Andrew Wiggins is one of the many taking the AAU scene by storm.
Wiggins, a 6-foot-7 athlete from Vaughan Secondary School in Ontario, is poised for a move to Christian Faith Center Academy in Creedmoor, N.C., where he can compete against some of the game's best in the United States. However, it was in Canada that the freshman began making headlines with his outstanding play during his middle school days.
