Sooners Clarify Patience with Taylor

When Tulsa East Central four-star cornerback Stanvon Taylor left Oklahoma's Feb. 4 junior day he was told that an Oklahoma's offer would be reliant on checking his grades. Taylor said, at the time, that he knew with new staff members such transcript issues were understandable though he also knew with strong scores and GPA that the issue would clarify itself in time.

Perhaps the confidence in his own academic standing was what bore his calm nature for so much of the last few months. The 5-foot-11, 175-pound prospect said that during a Monday conversation with head coach Bob Stoops the concern had apparently shifted to the season-ending injury suffered by Taylor in 2011's second game.
