Render ready for junior year
Indianola offensive lineman Keegan Render heads into his junior year with one scholarship offer already in hand and the potential to earn several more. The 6-foot-3, 310-pound Render earned his first offer after a standout performance at Iowa's camp in June where he quickly impressed the Hawkeye coaching staff.
"When I went to Iowa's camp, they had about five of us do some extra work on the offensive line and I thought I did pretty well," said Render. "Then I came home and the next day my head coach, Coach Kluver, got a hold of me and told me that I needed to call Iowa right away about a scholarship. When I called, that's when they offered me."
"I was surprised because I knew they were interested, but I didn't think it would happen that soon," he continued. "I was really happy about it though."
Along with Iowa, Render also attended camps at Iowa State, Minnesota, and Northern Illinois this summer and was at the Nike Camp in Champaign in June.
