Zack Darlington claims NCSU offer

NC State fans that watched running back Matt Dayes of Weston (Fla.) Cypress Bay High put on a show in the state 8-A title game against Apopka (Fla.) High probably noticed that the quarterback for Apopka was not that bad either.

His name was Zack Darlington, and the junior accounted for 379 total yards and three touchdowns in the game despite playing with a broken bone in his throwing wrist.

The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Darlington completed the season with nearly 2,500 total yards and 29 touchdowns, completing around 66 percent of his passes and rushing for over 700 yards. Apparently, the new staff at NC State took notice of Darlington at some point.
