Chubb commits to Georgia

CEDARTOWN - With two commitments on Saturday, Georgia kept its positive recruiting momentum going on Tuesday when Cedartown running back Nick Chubb committed to the Bulldogs over SEC foes South Carolina and Auburn.

Chubb made his pledge in the presence of the Fox 5 Atlanta news team at an announcement held at his high school

The 5-foot-11, 218-pound playmaker is a rated as the 70th overall prospect in the country and the sixth prospect in Georgia by Rivals.com.

The four-star prospect rushed for 2,694 yards and 38 touchdowns in his junior season for the Cedartown Bulldogs becomes Georgia's second Rivals100 running back to join the 2014 class with the first being Sony Michel (American Heritage; Plantation, Fla.)

UGA will now look to keep the hot streak of pledges going as four-star Brooks County defensive back Malkom Parrish will decide between Georgia and Georgia Tech on Thursday.
