Regional talent was on display this past Sunday during the third annual Tennessee Exposure Camp presented by In Full Motion and Next Level Training held at Tennessee State University.
Some of the notable performers included Oakland (Tn.) offensive lineman Jack Jones, who won Offensive MVP by consistently keeping defensive lineman in front of him by displaying brilliant footwork and excellent lateral movement in 1-on-1 drills.
The state of Georgia represented well with Sandy Creek running back Delvin Weems earning Top Skills MVP. Weems told me he isn't used to catching the ball out of the backfield, but showed off a great set of hands and crisp route-running in 7-on-7 drills passing drills.
On the defensive side, top performers included Riverdale (Tn.) defensive back Mariko Odom, who earned top DB honors on Sunday.
The cream of the crop was located along the defensive line with Michael Sawyers from Ensworth (Tn.) earning MVP honors. The 6-foot-2, 307-pounder currently has 16 offers from the likes of Miami (Fla.) to Washington State and every program in between.
Taking home Underclassmen MVP honors was Hillsboro (Tn.) defensive end Kyle Phillips, who gave offensive lineman fits with his size (6-foot-4, 250 lbs.) and quickness during 1-on-1 drills.
