The Texas A&M coaching staff has proven time and time again that they will go anywhere to find the right talent. West coast, East coast, you name it and that trend has continued into the 2017 recruiting class.

Back in early November of last year, the coaches extended an offer to Rock Hill (South Carolina) Northwestern defensive end Logan Rudolph. The standout defender now holds 34 total offers and continues to communicate with the Aggies.

"I talk with the A&M coaches every other week, not as much as other schools, but we have stayed in touch since the offer," Rudolph said. "Most of my contact has been with Coach (John) Chavis from A&M. They offered me back during the season and really like me at outside linebacker or defensive end, rushing the passer.

"When I connect with Coach Chavis, he is excited about me as a player and likes the way that I play the game. I'm still thinking about a possible visit, but I'm not sure at the moment."

Logan, the younger brother of Oklahoma State quarterback Mason Rudolph, gets asked about his brother and the potential of attending Oklahoma State all the time. But that doesn't bother the standout prospect, he is just enjoying the process and wants to find the best fit for himself.

"It's a blessing to be in this position," Rudolph said. "Mostly because this is my first year on defense, but I'm not taking any of this for granted. I'm just trying to enjoy myself and plan to make the best decision for me.

"I haven't thought too much about when I would like to make a commitment. My parents and I are still talking about a time frame, but I have some more visits to take and I'm going to choose wherever feels like home."

The 6-foot-4, 230-pound prospect is still planning some of his off-season visits, but has already taken several unofficial visits so far during the process.

"I went to Florida and Florida State last weekend," Rudolph said. "I also went to the Kentucky game against Florida this season. I also attended games at Clemson and Oklahoma State this season.

"I will be at Tennessee this weekend, and I'm going to take some other visits later this spring."

Rated a 5.7 three-star prospect, Rudolph is rated as the No. 16 overall strongside defensive end in the country by Rivals.com.
