COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Sophomore forward Denzel Bowles has decided to leave the Texas A&M basketball team and intends to transfer to a school closer to his Virginia Beach, Va., home.
"Denzel wants to continue his career a little closer to home," said A&M head coach Mark Turgeon. "He's a quality young man and we wish him all the best."
A 6-foot-10 forward, Bowles played in nine games this season and averaged 2.4 points and 1.2 rebounds per game.
