Several of the members of the incoming 2014 recruiting class will have their chance to make an immediate impact on the Texas A&M football team but none may be as important early on as defensive end Myles Garrett who finished up second in the 2014 Rivals.com recruiting rankings nationally..
In today's installment of the Getting to Know series we take a look at Myles Garrett who could be an immediate starter for the Aggies on a defensive line in need of talented players.

WHAT'S YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT FROM YOUR HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL CAREER?
"The first game."
DO YOU HAVE A PRE-GAME RITUAL?
"I like to listen to Marvin Gaye and I like to jog around the track. Yeah, I like to do like a boxing exercise before I go out on the field. Since I Had You, Come Live with Me, Angel, just stuff like that."
AT WHAT POINT DID YOU REALIZE THAT YOU HAD THE ABILITY TO PLAY D-1 FOOTBALL?
"Sophomore year after I had a talk with my parents and Coach Whittaker. ​Basically, he sat me down and told me how much ability I had and that I really wasn't using or tapping into my potential and that I just need to start. I need to look into myself and see that if I really want to do this, I really want to have a chance to play professional sports, I got to take it up another level and get to work on my work ethic and just work, develop."
WHAT POSITION WILL YOU BE PLAYING AT TEXAS A&M?
"Defensive end."
ARE YOU EXPECTING TO REDSHIRT YOUR FIRST SEASON ON-CAMPUS?
"Definitely not."
WHAT IS ONE THING THAT YOU NEED TO WORK ON IN ORDER TO PLAY AT THE NEXT

"My strength and my communication skills."

"Meeting new people and putting smiles on other people's faces I haven't met before."

"I have family nicknames. I don't know if I really have … People usually call me "Superman," or "Big Foot," or something like that."

"Geology."

"Jurassic Park."

"Let me think. Celebrities that I keep up with, gosh. Jennifer Lopez."

"The proximity to my home and playing in the best conference that there is in college football."

"Definitely, when I dunked and I pointed at coach who was my basketball game."

"I knew a couple. I got to meet some of the D-line, like Alonso Williams. I knew Devonta Burns. I just met a couple other guys."
WHAT SCHOOL WOULD YOU HAVE CHOSEN IF YOU HADN'T SIGNED WITH TEXAS A&M?
That would've been a tossup between TCU and Ohio State."
