Starkel Contemplating Visits

Argyle Liberty Christian 2016 quarterback, and Oklahoma State commit, Nick Starkel competed in the first TAPPS seven-on-seven tournament over the weekend. The six-foot-three inch, 185-pound prospect was happy with his first day's performance, but knows he was off the second day as his team finished in sixth place overall.
"The second day was rough for us," he said at the conclusion of the event. "We have a lot to improve on and I was off most of the day."

Starkel is still solid with Oklahoma State, but there are a few schools who are trying to get him away.
"Texas A&M was the last school to offer me," he said. "Florida and Notre Dame are looking at me right now and may offer too."
Starkel was planning on visiting A&M this summer, but has since backed off on those plans some as he ponders what visits might mean.
"I'm not sure if I am allowed to visit," he said. "Oklahoma State does not want me to visit any other places, but I am happy at Oklahoma State and I don't have plans to visit right now."
Starkel is going to think it over and talk with his family more and see if visiting A&M is the right thing to do.
"If I get to visit A&M that would be fine," he said. "If I don't get to visit that will be fine too, but we will see if I will be able to make it down there or not."
