Wilson picks AM over other options
During the course of assembling their 2014 recruiting class, Texas A&M has gone to head-to-head with programs from across the nation and won and in securing commits for its highly-rated class.
The Aggies won another battle tonight in getting the final commitment of Shreveport (La.) Woodlawn defensive back Donovan Wilson. Wilson committed to Utah on Monday, but there was another program tugging at his heart. That program was A&M, and he felt it was best to make a change Saturday night.

"It is good to have it over with..no surprises on signing day-I am going to Texas A&M," he said.
The Aggies were not the only program battling for Wilson's talents until the final call was made. According to his coach, Jerwin Wilson, another SEC West foe was also seriously interested.
"Yes," Wilson confirmed when asked if Alabama had entered the picture. "They tried to get Donovan to visit up until yesterday."
The 6 foot, 1 inch, 185-pound safety may not have ended up visiting Tuscaloosa this weekend, but he will see it this fall when the Aggies go to visit.
"A&M is in the SEC and is at another level," Wilson said. "I enjoyed my official there. I like Coach (Terry) Joseph a lot. He is a cool coach and knows how to get players playing at their best. It was good meeting with him and hanging out with the players."
After flying under the radar for much of his recruiting process, Wilson has seen plenty of attention come his way the past couple of weeks. And, with National Signing Day just around the corner, it looks like he's found the place that's best for him.
