Hunter Washington Picks Up A&M Offer

Katy High School football impressed right out of the gate this year when in the first game of the season they defeated state champs North Shore on a nationally televised stage. A player that impressed that night, and has continued to standout to colleges this season, is 2021 four-star cornerback Hunter Washington.

The 6-foot, 170-pound elite cover corner has offer from Auburn, Colorado, Florida, Houston, Mississippi State, Ohio State, TCU, Texas Tech, Tulane, USC, Virginia Tech and on Monday evening Texas A&M offered.

Washington camped at A&M over the summer, and has been to several games at Kyle Field. He has not been to a game yet this season in College Station, but he was at the Aggies 7-overtime thriller last season. Since then he has developed a good relationship with A&M cornerbacks coach Maurice Limguist.

Commitment Time Frame:

"My options are still open right now," Washington said. "I'm not really stuck on one school. After my football season, I'm going to start visiting a lot of schools before I commit and find a place like home."

Rivals Evaluation:

"He's got size (6-foot, 170 pounds) and athleticism, a fantastic recipe for a defensive back. Washington is physical and (at camps over the sumer) contested a ton of grabs downfield and in 50-50 ball situations. He also came through with a handful of break-ups." - Sam Spiegelman

Katy High School In Action this Week:

Katy’s game this week will once again be aired on TV, KUBE Chl. 57, in their Thursday night showdown against undefeated district opponent Katy Tompkins.
