Kenny Young All Access, Playoffs Recruiting

It is difficult to predict or understand what a recruit will do throughout the recruiting process until you get know who they are & where they come from. AggieYell goes all access at River Ridge (La.) John Curtis High School to talk in depth with four-star outside linebacker Kenny Young and his coach J.T. Curtis.

Texas A&M has been recruiting the 6-2, 220 pound linebacker hard. Young's area recruiter, Marcel Yates, has clearly connected with the prospect who has a top six including Texas A&M, LSU, Oklahoma State, UCLA, Miami and Florida State.
As Coach J.T. Curtis explained in the video the coaches tell the players to hold their official visits until after the season. John Curtis will play Evangel tonight in the semi-finals. Most likely John Curtis will win tonight and will move on to championship game held Thursday, December 12. After that, expect Young to hit the recruiting scene hard.
Young is excited to begin narrowing his list of schools down, so expect his first official to happen quickly after the championship game. Young did not specify which five programs would get officials, but out of his list of favorites (Texas A&M, LSU, Oklahoma State, UCLA, Miami and Florida Stat) I feel good about the Aggies getting a visit.
In the video Coach Curtis talks about the Brown family, and how they took Young and his siblings into their home. Young will always be close to his siblings, but because of the Brown family I don't think he feels like he has to play ball close to home in order to be their "father figure." Playing out of state is a very real possibility.
