Latest 2011 AY Texas Top 125 sees big changes

There were some big changes in the latest edition of the 2011 AY Texas Top 125.
After a spring of evaluating prospects in person at practices, camps and combines as well as poring through film, we have the latest list of the top prospects from the Lone Star State.

Some of the biggest movers include several players who were unranked in the previous list. Leading the way is Mansfield Legacy cornerback Tevin Mitchel. The tall, lanky corner saw limited playing time this past season but has had a huge spring that has seen a ton of offers come his way. He moved all the way up to No. 16 in the latest rankings.
Other newcomers to the list include San Antonio MacArthur tight end Jace Amaro at No. 21, Arlington Martin safety Devonta Burns at No. 40, Rockdale offensive tackle Le'Raven Clark at No. 43 and Daingerfield offensive tackle Shayvion Hatten at No. 45.
Several prospects who were ranked in the previous edition made huge jumps as well.
Brenham wide receiver Derek Edwards made the move to the four-star range, going from No. 120 to No. 34. Coming in right behind him at No. 35 is Houston St. Pius linebacker Kellen Jones, moving up from No. 121.
Other big movers include Irving MacArthur cornerback Jalen Brown, Klein Oak tight end Max Stevenson, Cedar Park linebacker Chet Moss and Carthage linebacker Kendall Thompson.
The top of the list saw a change as well as Spring Westfield defensive tackle fell to No. 3 from the top spot. Cibolo Steele running back Malcolm Brown takes over the No. 1 position.
