McGinnis would be a good fit at LB for AM

We move to number seven in our series of the ten players Texas A&M should look to sign in order to fill its biggest needs. Remember, this list is not an indication of what player should be ranked as a better talent, it is simply a list of players who match the Aggies' needs right now.
7. Warren Easton (La.) outside linebacker Arthur McGinnis

(Six foot, two inches, 224-pounds):
Why do the Aggies need him?
For one thing, the Aggies have no linebacker commits right now. With a defense as bad as it was last year and only signing two linebackers last year really did not fix the problem; it was just more of a Band-Aid than anything else. With the safety problem addressed, linebacker is one of the bigger needs on defense right now. Fewer are better than McGinnis, a 4-star prospect.
Why is he on the list?
McGinnis has the ability to possibly start from day one and has the versatility to play in the middle or outside. He has the speed of an outside linebacker, but the power of an inside linebacker. He hits like a truck, but still moves well enough. He can be the run-stopping linebacker A&M has been looking for. He just needs to work on keeping his weight in check, but other than that McGinnis would be a welcomed addition to the A&M defense that really needs help.
Why is he at seven?
Before it's all said in done, McGinnis could end up number one on the list if his recruitment plays out a while, he will be a major need regardless what happens and will always be in the top ten. Right now McGinnis is the second-most wanted outside linebacker for A&M and it's very possible he joins his teammate Deshawn Capers-Smith and commits to A&M in the near future.
