TAMU class of 2012, an army of one

Paul "Bear" Bryant said, "You must learn how to hold a team together. You must lift some men up, calm some others down, until finally they've got one heartbeat. Then you've got yourself a team."
A team, as Coach Bryant said has one heartbeat, not one hero, but a group, an army of one. If any group knows what a team is, it is the Texas A&M recruiting class of 2012. The group of high school seniors, from the Houston area specifically, have been seen at events like the Vype photo shoot, A&M camps and 7-on-7 rallying together giving major props to their future team, Texas A&M.

Klein Forest quarterback and A&M commit Matt Davis showed an example of team when during the post game interviews after a 32-17 defeat over Cinco Ranch brought in his teammates to talk with the multiple media outlets. They really had one person in mind to talk with, Matt Davis, who repeatedly said, "I couldn't do anything without all these guys. We won this game."
Fellow Texas A&M commits, Hightower wide receiver Bralon Addison and DeKaney running back Trey Williams, know what a team is as they showed their support at Davis' game. Addison was decked out in a maroon Aggie shirt and Williams stayed a majority of the game in support of Davis' return to the field since his ACL injury one year ago.
Williams said, "Davis is looking great out there. He has fully recovered both mentally and physically from his ACL tear. He is tearing it up out there."
Williams made it clear that other teams have it coming when he, Davis, Addison and the other 2012 recruits come together in College Station.
But for right now, Williams and Davis will still have to meet on the football fields playing against each other in what Williams said, with a grin ear to ear, will be a "friendly rivalry, but what a rivalry it will be." Williams said it is a fortunate thing that Davis is on offense and he too on offense. Although he said he knows Davis will no doubt try and get on defense as much as he can.
Both guys are looking forward to that friendly rivalry game but as soon as the season is over they are excited to become teammates.
