AggieYell.com's series on the key members of the 2021 Texas A&M football team continues with defensive end Donell Harris.
Class: Redshirt freshman
Spring Height/Weight: 6-foot-3, 220 pounds
2020 stats: 1 tackle in 2 games
Projected 2021 role: Backup defensive end
The Aggies have plenty of talent at defensive end, with DeMarvin Leal, Micheal Clemons and Tyree Johnson all set to see significant playing time this fall. But they still need a speed rusher, and that's why they wanted Harris in the 2020 class. He showed flashes of exactly what A&M was looking for in the Maroon & White Game, racking up a sack as one of his two tackles. His speed is unquestioned; if he's strong enough and has developed some secondary moves over the past year, he could be a dangerous addition to the Aggie end rotation.
