In the annual game that pits players from North Texas against their Southern counterparts, three Aggies in the signing class of 2007 will suit up for their respective teams.
The South squad will feature and all-Aggie backfield at times as Beaumont Central quarterback Brandon Williams and McAllen Memorial running back Bradley Stephens will both see plenty of action.
The two have been practicing with the South squad all week and seem to have already gotten on the same page. While Williams, at 6-foot-4 and 225 pounds, has shown a strong arm at times, his best weapon as a signal-caller is his running ability.
That will be fine with Stephens as the North defense will have to worry about his quarterback's rushing ability. This will keep them honest, leaving the 5-foot-11, 190 pound Stephens with a better opportunity to break off a long run.
Other players to watch on the south squad are Texas signees Brandon Collins and Earl Thomas as well as TCU signee Jeremy Kerley.
On the opposite sideline, Bryan offensive lineman Evan Eike will be the lone Aggie suiting up for the North team.
He is starting at left guard, next to Texas signee Tray Allen is also slated to start along the line.
Evan though he and Allen are headed for rival schools, Eike says that this week they have the same goal.
"We kind of gave each other a hard time at first," said the 6-foot-4, 286 pound Eike. "But we're on the same team now. We're representing the North and we all just want to win. After the game, it will probably be a different story, though."
That unit should provide make Springtown quarterback, and SMU signee, Logan Turner quite happy as he has three very highly-rated prospects giving him time to throw to talented receivers Malcolm Williams and Detron Lewis.
The defense for the North squad should also be formidable as four-star linebacker, and Texas signee, Keenan Robinson leads the way along with future teammate Michael Wilcoxon.
The THSCA game has been a showcase for Aggies in the past as quarterback Jerrod Johnson was named the Offensive MVP a year ago.
Tuesday night's contest will be aired on Fox Sports Southwest at 7:30 p.m. central time.
