The members of AggieYell.com have selected the quarterbacks and running backs of their all-time Texas A&M football team, and now they've picked the two men tasked with leading the way for Darren Lewis, John David Crow, Curtis Dickey and Greg Hill: the fullbacks, who were selected in a very close vote.

The Starter: Robert Wilson (1988-90)
Wilson's resume:
343 carries for 1,739 yards (5.1 YPC) and 20 touchdowns rushing; 2,016 total yards and 23 total touchdowns
Second in the Southwest Conference in rushing touchdowns in 1988
Fifth in yards per carry in the SWC in both 1988 and 1990
Even though he was a very capable runner in his own right, Wilson's primary job in the Aggie offense was to serve as a lead blocker for Darren Lewis and Bucky Richardson as they served as the lead weapons in the A&M offense. He did his job extremely well, bullying opponents to the point the 6-foot-1, 245 pound Wilson left school a year early and was taken in the third round of the NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The backup: George Woodard (1975-79)
Woodard's resume:
630 carries for 2,911 yards (4.6 YPC) 35 TDs
Led the SWC in carries, plays from scrimmage and touchdowns in 1976
Second in SWC in rushing yards in 1976
Teamed with both Bubba Bean and Curtis Dickey, Woodard was more of a rushing option than Wilson but served as a powerful blocker as well with his 6 foot, 280 pound frame. A player no defender wanted to face because odds are he'd be bigger than they were, Woodard was an intimidating force during his four seasons (he missed 1978) in College Station.
