AggieYell.com's series on the 30 players most important to Texas A&M football's 2019 success continues with number 20, cornerback Debione Renfro.

Class: Junior

Height/Weight: 6-foot-2, 198 pounds

2018 stats: 37 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 sack, 5 passes broken up

What the Aggies are hoping for in 2019: Improvement. Renfro was the Aggies' best corner last year, but the unit as a whole was a glaring weakness. Renfro is physical and tenacious, but he gave up some big plays and didn't pick off a pass last season. With Erick Young and Elijah Blades now on campus, he'll have to step up his play to retain his job.

Why he's number 20 on the list: Renfro is now A&M's most experienced corner. He can do one of two things this fall: either improve to the point he keeps his job -- thereby improving the secondary as a whole -- or he can push the newcomers to show enough to replace him. Either way, A&M's list of opponents will ensure he is on the field a lot in 2019, and they'll need him to excel.
