The choices were supposed to be tough in the Sweet 16 of AggieYell.com's Greatest Aggie Football Player of all time Tournament. For the most part, voters decided they weren't.

Top overall seed Johnny Manziel dispatched Lester Hayes in the round of 16, and it wasn't close. Manziel won with more than 95% of the vote, setting up a matchup with another fabled QB in the Elite Eight: Bucky Richardson. Richardson lost the vote on AggieYell.com's Northgate board by a 53%-47% margin, but his 76%-24% win on Twitter moved him on to face Johnny Football in a contest to decide the winner of the 12th Man Region.

The Northgate region is also down to its top two seeds, John David Crow and Myles Garrett. Crow, the top seed and 1957 Heisman Trophy winner, won 75% of the vote against Ray Childress, while Garrett dispatched Darren Lewis with more than 80% of the combined votes.

In the Bonfire Region, it'll be John Kimbrough against Von Miller for the right to go to the Final Four. "Jarrin' John" ended the upset run of Keith Mitchell with ease, while Miller won by a surprisingly large margin against one of the Wrecking Crew's greatest linebackers, Quentin Coryatt.

The top two seeds in the Gig 'Em Region also advanced to the Elite Eight, but one of these matchups was close. The one between top seed Dat Nguyen and Luke Joeckel wasn't it, though; Nguyen won nearly 95% of the vote against the 2012 Outland Trophy winner. Mike Evans, on the other hand, was tested by the popularity of defensive tackle Sam Adams. Evans eeked out a win on the Northgate board, but saw his margin of victory expanded when he took 76% of votes on Twitter.
