AggieYell.com's series on the key members of the 2021 Texas A&M football team continues with defensive end Jahzion Harris.
Class: Freshman
Spring Height/Weight: 6-foot-4, 230 pounds
2020 stats: Did not play; Rivals 4-star recruit
Projected 2021 role: Backup defensive end
The Aggies went to Brooklyn to pick up the speedy Harris, who joined Shemar Turner and Elijah Jeudy as the defensive ends in the 2021 class (if you could Tunmise Adeleye as a tackle). The objective was for him to become a speed rusher, adding a needed element to the defense.
Harris was on campus this spring and took part in the Maroon & White Game, picking up a tackle for loss. He's got to get bigger and stronger to survive in the SEC, but with A&M's depth, he should get that opportunity. With his speed, he will be an exciting player to watch develop.
